Re-Play Radio Episode 9: I'm-o Orc You Up

This week, Steve Watts dips his toe into the world of Warcraft (3) and reports back with his findings. Find out why this is Blizzard's unheralded masterpiece and why anyone who doesn't like it is a dimwit. Also, we talk about more New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the glut of God of War-esque games in the marketplace and more in What Else, and hand out judgments of Naughty and Nice to the folks and trends that make up the 2009 gaming landscape. Nestle up to your MP3 playing device of choice and enjoy another tender episode of Re-Play Radio, full of flavor and fun.

Did that work for you? No? Then just download it.

Geekspeak Season 10, Episode 9: A Christmas Special You Shouldn't Google

It's that special time of the year, a time where all people come together and everyone's a little nicer to one another, a time when children laugh and sing with joy in their hearts, a time when petty grievances are set aside for the good of all. Naturally, Geekspeak chooses to mark this holiday season by saying the word "dick" a lot. Apart from that, though, we celebrate all that is awesome about Christmas and the surrounding season by talking about cherished holiday memories, our favorite Christmas specials, and great geek gifts (though if you haven't done your shopping by now you're reaaaaallly pushing it). All this, plus none other than Lindsey Wahowiak drops by to spread the good cheer! Oh, and by the way, you'll want to keep listening after the show's over for a very special Shorok surprise.

Download this show now, and we'll see you in 2010!

Geekspeak Season 10, Episode 7: I Don't Even Know Anymore

I'm gonna level with you guys. We don't even really talk about Wi-Fi networks that much in this episode. But that was one of the few things we did talk about that would be appropriate for the website. It's not that this show is dirty or anything - though I will warn you that there are protracted discussions about naked Harry Potter and female condoms - but...yeah. We also talk about Superman's movie status, the aforementioned Mr. Potter, Mininova's new legal branding, birth control for men and illegal downloading over public wi-fi networks. Also: you can finally hear one of the conversations we have during the breaks. You are in for a treat, I suppose. Just download it already.

The List, Episode 3: The Music of Your Life

It's another episode of the List, and this time Jake n' Wags talk about music...specifically, the soundtrack to their lives. What music will play during all the key moments of their lives from birth to death? Only one way to find out, and that's to download it. (Also: discussion of baby cigarettes and heinie-slapping.)

Re-Play Radio Episode 8: Forever Let Us Hold Our Banner High

Happy Thanksgiving! Here's a Re-Play Radio for you to listen to as you drift off into tryptophan-induced slumber, much like the hero in our featured game, "The Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse". There's plenty of discussion about that, as well as talk of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Valkyria Chronicles 2, and Assassin's Creed 2 in What Else...and a rant about day one DLC so epic in scope you will scarcely believe you are getting this podcast for free. That, plus more than you could possibly have ever wanted to know about Disney's Ducks, all on this episode of Re-Play Radio.

Geekspeak Season 10, Episode 6: CUPCAKE

This time around, it's no script, no guiding principles, no mercy as the crew sits down to talk Modern Warfare 2, problems with the new Left 4 Dead, comics, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and everything else that made up one of the most jam-packed geek weeks ever! If you ever wondered what a wholly off-the-cuff show sounds like, this is it, so download it.

Geekspeak Season 10, Episode 5: REFERENCES!

YES I KNOW IT IS LATE.

Ahem.

The new episode of Geekspeak is here! Join us as we discuss Facebook-related character defamation lawsuits, scientists that rewrite fly memories with lasers, controversy in Modern Warfare 2, and some other stuff that escapes me at the moment.

Really, it's best if we just drop the pretense and have you download it now.

The List, Episode 2: Emphasis on the "Rock"

It's time for another episode of "The List" with Jake and Wags. This week? The best and catchiest songs from the Mega Man series. Trust me, it is really, really difficult to find any better way to spend your time. Mega Man is awesome, and the music is awesomer yet. So just download this one and let it ride.

Re-Play Radio Episode 7: You And Me And The 108 Stars of Destiny

Re-Play Radio is back! Again! This time we're changing up the format - rather than playing one game through to completion, we're going to focus on a different game every episode or two. Sorry for those of you expecting more of our thoughts on Okami, but this is just better for the regularity of the schedule (and our sanity). Anyway, this week we talk about Mario and Luigi 3, Uncharted 2, Beatles: Rock Band and lots more in What Else! Then we give Suikoden (and the Suikoden series in general) its just due in the main segment, with more information than you could possibly ever want to know about the series - and a spoiler or two, so be warned. Finally, in our new Re-Play Rant segment, find out exactly what Bryan thinks about your webcomic. It's a nice, meaty show and you should find it to your tastes if you download it.

Geekspeak Season 10, Episode 4: When HTML Was King

We're back with another new episode of Geekspeak. Bryan, Drew, Scooter, Wags, and Jake descend upon these hot topics:
  • Microsoft pulls its support from the Seth MacFarlane comedy special
  • Netflix streaming comes to PS3
  • Earth may not be ready for an asteroid strike
  • New regulations may result in a universal cell phone charger standard
  • Geocities is shut down by Yahoo! (you have to put in the punctuation)
Whooooo doggie! Download it now.

The List, Episode 1: What Not To Wear

It's here! The inaugural edition of the Jake and Wags team-up project, "The List" is all up in your ear holes. This time out, the dynamic duo discuss Halloween costumes that are a bad idea no matter who you are. Want to find out why dressing up like a Twinkie or the Joker is a bad idea? Look no further, and instead download the episode now.

Geekspeak Season 10, Episode 3: The Third Anniversary Reunion

You've been waiting for it, and I'm not about to deny it to you - it's the Geekspeak Third Anniversary Reunion special! We were back in the good ol' Modern Rock 91.5 studios as part of the 10th annual CMU School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts Alumni Takeover, and since it's a special occasion, we figured we'd do it up right, with appearances from ten - you heard that right, ten - of the best and brightest from multiple eras of the show! In these jam-packed two hours, all your favorite segments return, like News of the Week, 2 Minutes of A Girl Talking, Drew's Perpetually Untitled Segment, World Wide Wags, Scooter's Finite Playlist, and Katie At Large! Yea, though the filesize be large and the time be long, this is everything a Geekspeak fan could want. Download and enjoy, my friends. Download and enjoy.
